The goal of this paper is analyzing the evolution of co-operative societies and labor societies (sociedades laborales) in the Spanish territory during the period 1989-2007. As well as it´s pretended to relate the economic context in which these entities are developing their activities and to study their contribution to economic development and job creation. For that, we will use two analysis related to the methodology of convergence, β-convergence (beta-convergence) and δ-convergence (sigma-convergence).
